Gouverneur Gardens is a Mitchell-Lama Co-op that was built in the early 1960’s for the benefit of New Yorkers with low to middle incomes. This was a place where shopkeepers and teachers, blue collar laborers and nurses, police and fire department members could be proud to call home. This is a private Cooperative, though there are rules that keep the sale/purchase price affordable to future generations.
